So…this week has been a bit……meh.
I have just been feeling…..meh.
I don't know why.
Maybe I do.
Anyways, I have had an exciting few days though.
Ok, more like last night!
There is a meteor shower happening right now.
Last night we went out to the fields to see what we could see.
At home we saw two big bright ones.
But in the field…where there's less light…we didn't see much.
Some faint ones here and there.
We did see two more bright ones.
I GOT ONE ON VIDEO!
It was quick, but you can see it.
Just like my other videos.
It's not the first time I caught one.
Then, I tried to get an exposure of all the stars.
I tried on the big camera once and it didn't work so well.
Plus I wanted it for video purposes.
So, I tried the GoPro.
It doesn't take as good of pictures, but it was the only one with an exposure setting.
And it has a wide angle lens so I would get all of the sky!
I made three pictures.
10, 20, and 30 seconds.
I meteor did shot by during one of them, but I didn't see anything in the picture.
I did catch a plane though.
However, in the 30 second one…I noticed something.
When you look straight up out there, you see what seems to be a band of clouds.
Right straight up.
Very very faint.
So, upon further inspection of the pictures, it turns out to not be clouds.
It's the Milky Way.
Our galaxy!
I actually got a picture of it!
I always wanted to go realllly far into nowhere.
Away from all the lights.
And see the Milky Way.
We'd have to go to Montana or somewhere.
That's too far.
So, here will have to do!
So…. Yeah….
It was fun.
We are going again tonight!
I still have to work on the videos and pictures.
I'll have them next week!
OK! On to this week’s picture!
I haven't used selective coloring in a while.
My big camera has a feature built in that lets me do it.
It pictures and videos…without editing.
It just does it on its own.
It's cool.
I forgot how cool it was!
Until last week when I was taking pictures of the flowers.
I wondered what would make them pop better.
So, I tried selective coloring again and was in love again.
I do like it.
It's the best feature.
I need to make an awesome videos using it.
….anyways.
I liked what I was seeing so I wanted to try an actual..picture…picture.
First I was going to be all cheesy and sit in front of them.
But I learned form a few weeks ago…that's not me.
So, I did anything sad looking one.
Which best suited me at the time.
I have noticed that even though I sad in the picture, it still looks EPIC!
I really like my birthday picture.
I liked the week before too!
Even though I look sad, they still looks epic!
For the coloring part…well…
There isn't any color!
I still added saturation to boost the flowers.
And my typical boat load of contrast and clarity.
It was pretty easy.
COMPARE!

Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.
AMAZING!!
Let's try the Image Slider.
Here's how it works...
There's a blue bar in the middle of the picture.
That's the slider.
The slider will disappear when you move your mouse off of the image.
I did that so you can really see the split.
But, it'll come back when you hover over it again.
You can CLICK on it and DRAG it around to get our on split image.
Or, you can use these presets.
Before FULL, After FULL, 50/50, Before a QUARTER, or After a QUARTER.
Ok, now for the video!
It's not too long this time!
I would have been shorter, but I talked a lot in the editing the picture part.
And I included so awesome slo mo videos of me watering the flowers!
I haven't used the slo mo cam in a while too…hmmm
Anyways! You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.
OK! That's all.
COME BACK NEXT WEEK FOR AWESOMENESS!!!
