Picture 346

So……once again…..this has been a blah week.
Exciting things happened.
But I just feel…blah.
Like last week.
You can tell by the pictures.
I didn't get any sleep last night.
And didn't get any sleep today.
Every time I'd lay down for a nap…just before I fell asleep…the phone would ring.
My sister need something at work. My mom is done with work.
My grandmother calls to say she's too busy to do work today.
Just a lot of things that kept me from sleeping.
So….I'm tired….grumpy…and my head hurts.
It takes me two hours to fall asleep.
Two hours of just lying there in silence….and darkness.
With my eye closed…..staring at the wall.
But if my eyes were closed…..I wouldn't be staring…..
…………
Anyways, 9, I took my sister to work.
11, I was about to sleep and she called for me to bring her something.
1, I was about to sleep and my grandmother called.
Just that slight distraction resets the clock.
3, I finally fall asleep.
4,……I have to get my mom from work.
It's just been a bad day.
Well, it seems that way to me!
My weeks was fine.
There was some storms!
And I played with the dog!
I finally put the GoPro doggy mouth on him.
I never did it before.
I used it on my brother’s dog.
He didn't like it at first.
But after running around a bit, he seemed fine!
I'll have to try it again.
I wanted to turn the frame rate up on the GoPro to 120.
So I could get a few slo mo shot of him running!
But, I forgot!
Maybe I'll do it outside.
He likes fetching sticks!
We’ll see what happens.
Other than the storms and the dog.
Nothing really exciting happened.
However, in the BTS video, I added an extra bit about what we did last week.
We went meteor watching.
We saw a few and I even got one on video.
Just barely.
While doing this, I had the GoPro getting exposures in the sky and random times.
Since I was using the big camera to record videos with it’s night vision mode.
I saw something amazing in the GoPro pictures.
I didn't realize it at first what it was.
It was the Milky Way!
Like…our galaxy!
I could actually see it!
Being around here with all the light pollution, we usually can see anything!
We had to go out into dark empty corn fields to get away from all the lights.
And that still wasn't enough.
Someday, I'm going to go in the middle of nowhere and see all the stars.
Some day.
But for now, this is the best I can get.
The picture of the Milky Way is in the video.
I still haven’t gotten around to actually working on it.
To make it look pretty so you can actually see it.
Anyways, it was a wonderful time.
Ok, enough talk.
Onto the picture!
We have had two storms the past few days.
One of them was an actual line of storm and the other was just a pop up.
The line of storms was strong!
 It had some crazy lightning.
The pop up one was just a little rain shower.
OK, it was a downpour.
However, because it was a pop up, I didn't have anything else to it.
It was just a single cloud producing rain.
And since it was sunset, I knew once it went by there would be a rainbow.
So after the rain was completely gone, I went outside to look.
And sure enough there was!
Rainbow!
I took a few pictures and it disappeared.
The next day, I was thinking….”I should have made an actual picture…picture!”
That's why I have Photoshop!
So, at sunset, I went back out and made a picture of me standing there.
I didn't it at sunset to match the lighting in the other picture.
Here it is…..
Once that was done, it was just a matter of copy and paste!
It was easy to select all of me because it was overcast.
So it was me standing in front of a solid background.
That makes it really easy to select things.
And that was it.
Select…copy…paste….and adjust to scale.
I did have to darken the me picture a bit to make it match better with everything.
And boom!
It looks like I was there the whole time!
For the coloring, I didn't do much.
I need saturation to bring out the rainbow.
However, if I did anything else, I would lose it.
So, I’m could do too much contrast and clarity.
I found a good balance.
That's it!
It was that easy!
COMPARE!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.

Now compare just the coloring part.
I didn't crop it yet, so you can see the changes better.

AMAZING!!
Just what I wanted!
Let's try the Image Slider.
Here's how it works...
There's a blue bar in the middle of the picture.
That's the slider.
The slider will disappear when you move your mouse off of the image.
I did that so you can really see the split.
But, it'll come back when you hover over it again.
You can CLICK on it and DRAG it around to get our on split image.
Or, you can use these presets.
Before FULL, After FULL, 50/50, Before a QUARTER, or After a QUARTER.
Before
After
Onto the video!
This week's video is a little long at 29 minutes.
I like to include my week!
Now just the picture!
I include what I talk about in the blog posts.
The posts aren't just about my picture.
I include my week!
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.
OK! The deed is done!
