CLASSES HAS FINALLY STARTED!!!

I glimpsed at my History class and LORD GIVE ME STRENGTH.
I haven’t had a chance to actually work on things yet.
I’ll start tomorrow.
I am typing this on Wednesday.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are my days I don’t exist.
I have three classes spanning from 9:30am to 6:45pm.
And there’s an hour gap between those classes.
So, I can start working on History between classes and then really work on it on Friday.
I did quickly look at it and people were having issues with the first lesson.
Some links to important things aren’t working.
We’ll see what happens.
Everything is due on Sundays for that History class.
But back to Tuesday…
I got to experience those classes yesterday and I’m excited.
Studio Lighting doesn’t seem tooooo bad.
But we shall see.
Electronic Illustration seems like fun!
And lastly, Fine Art Photography.
It sounds really interesting.
I’m realllllyyyy liking what I’m seeing in that class.
We’ll go through different Photo Art movements like Modernism and Pictorialism.
Our first assignment will be interesting.
I’ll probably be the next video that I do.
So, tune in for that in a week or two.
ANYWAYS! All those classes are cool.
I skipped taking my Monday class because……. WE DIDN’T HAVE IT!
It was canceled.
We’ll me on the 28th.
She didn’t say why it was canceled, but I have a feeling it was for THE ECLIPSE!!
PERFECT TRANSITION!
That’s what this week’s picture is about!
On Monday, there was a solar eclipse that passed over North Amurica.
Mostly importantly… the USA!
Which just so happens to be where I live!
So, I watched it happen!
However, I didn’t get to see a total eclipse.
I could have, but that would require driving south for five hours.
I didn’t feel like doing that……….. So, I stayed.
We got to see the sun get covered 86%.
That sounds like a lot, and it was!
But it wasn’t enough.
The sun never got really dim enough for my cameras to see anything.
It always looked like a bright ball in the sky.
However, it actually was a crescent!
I forgot to look and see if we had any crescent shadows.
I’m sure we did.
Oh well.
FUN FACT!!!
In 2099, a total eclipse will past over where I live.
So, I wouldn’t have to drive anywhere for that!!!
It’s too bad that…. I’ll be dead.
MOVING ON!!
Even though this eclipse wasn’t 100%, I still tried my best and got what I could.
I uploaded two pictures…
They aren’t to bad.
I Photoshopped the second image.
I looked just like the first image, I just Photoshopped out all the white part.
I also made with a got some video as well.
The weather aided me with that.
It wasn’t clear skies and the clouds acted as a natural filter and blocked the sun!
Overall, it was pretty neat.
I saw some amazing things.
So, for the picture, I wanted to get a photo of me with the eclipse.
The sad thing is, the sun didn’t get blocked enough.
The sun is BRIGHT!
It only had 24% showing and it was still bright as can be.
So, I knew the camera wasn’t going to be able to see me and the eclipse.
Unless I cheat and Photoshop it.
In 2024, I’ll look cool because we’ll see totality.
Then my plan would work!
But for now, I got what I got.
My cameras and I staring at the sun.
For the coloring…. I went crazy.
The whole event was a crazy thing, so I made sure the photo looked like that!
COMPARE!!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.
That was just comparing the lighting changes.
I did crop the photo.
But that messes with the comparisons.
So, I saved an uncropped version.
I can't do the Image Slider because it's a vertical image.
:-/
I still haven't fixed that.
ALRIGHT!!!
Now onto the video!!
It did get a little long.
We watched a meteor shower and I looked at the moon with my new telescope.
So, since that was space related, I included those.
And then I also included some school things because the first day of college classes was also on the same day.
So, there are reasons I included all the videos.
And the video itself got to be an hour long.
Half of that was the eclipse and working on the photos.
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.
ALL DONE!!
The next post will probably be about the Fine Art assignments.
I’ll post that when I get around to it and when I feel like it!
SEE YOU THEN!!!
