Picture 446 | Nothing but a VHS camera...

Hi there!
How’s it going?
I don’t care……….
………………….
……………..
………..

…..

.
Sorry, it’s been a long day.
I’m actually at the library right now uploading everything.
SO MUCH DATA!
Our internet at home could handle all this data.
So, here I am.
It’s nice and quiet here…….. ;-)
ANYWAYS!
Life has been continuing.
There’s really nothing new to report.
I’ve just been very busy.
I talk about it in the video.
Now that things are picking up, I see myself being able to finally move out on my own.
I’m making enough to sustain myself, but I’m not ready to make the jump yet.
I need a car.
I’m working on that part.
We all just have to be patient.
Anyways, TO THE PHOTO!
The story behind this week’s photo isn’t too complicated.
I wanted to go on an adventure.
Go to a park, go somewhere.
Do something.
Have some time of relaxation.
So, I decided to go to a park that I haven’t been too.
It’s a popular park around here and I can’t remember ever visiting it.
Luckily it was a free day!
So, I walked around a small part of the trails and quickly came upon this structure.
My aunt called it a wigwam, so I will too!
I could move out and live in there.
As long as it has internet, I don’t care where it is.
But sadly, there’s internet…. or power.
Too bad!
The photo taking process went smoothly.
Just set the came down and BOOM! Done.
The editing was just the same.
I didn’t do anything too fancy besides turning down the saturation.
COMPARE!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.

LOVELY!
It's a bit dark and moody.
I LIKE IT!
Let's try the Image Slider for a split comparison.
CLICK and DRAG the BLUE BAR around to get our own split image.
Or, you can use these presets.
Before FULL, After FULL, 50/50, Before a QUARTER, or After a QUARTER.
Before
After
ONTO THE VIDEO!!
The video is something special.
IT’S THE VHS PROJECT PART 2!
Go see part one for all the details.
Basically, like the pinhole project part 2, I wanted to do an entire video exclusively on the VHS camera.
So…. that’s what I did.
The video shows my adventure of me shooting this photo, with a side helping of life stuff.
Plus, I talk about a new technique that I used for capturing the VHS video.
It’s complicated, but it’s worth it!
The quality of the video looks so much better…. for a VHS camera that is.
And I got the video to 60fps!
The only issue with that is Youtube iteslf.
I didn’t want the video to be in HD.
But any video that isn’t HD is automatically 30fps.
So, I had to make the video 720p HD in order for it to play back at 60fps on Youtube.
Which means you need to make sure that the video is set to HD.
That will allow you to get the full effect.
It is what it is.
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.

OK! All done.
Coming up next will be the videos that I shoot during my video class and I also recap my other college projects.
Stay tuned for that!
We are also planning on going back to the park that I visited for this photo.
There some interesting things there and we want to see what we can see.
Stay tuned for that as well.
GOODBYE! I'll see you when I see you...
