Picture 440...

ELLO THERE!
How’s your face?
Have you been bitten by a dozen starving weasels lately?
I hate it when that happens.

Ok…
Now umm…
Hmmm….
What was I going to say?
Oh, right.
I was going to update you on current events in my life.
This picture and video took place almost a year ago, so I didn’t really cover that stuff.
SO I WILL NOW!!
Ummm…..
There’s nothing new.
I have completed the online training for the new job.
The only thing in need to finish the shadowing part of the job.
I need to watch people do a proper photo shoot, then they need to watch me do a photo shoot.
Right now scheduling has been complicated.
One house we tried to shoot wasn’t even ready!
AND NOW! Things are going to have to be put on hold for a little bit.
I’m going to stay at my Aunt’s for FIVE WHOLE DAYS to watch her picky dog.
The Aunt is reading this as well.
YOU CAN BRING THE DOG TO THE NASCAR RACE.
NO ONE WILL NOTICE.
DRESS HER UP LIKE A PERSON.
But it’s fine.
It’ll be a relaxing five days.
Classes haven’t started yet, so I do have to work on anything like last time.
I got this post up the day for I have to leave, so I don’t have to worry about that.
Her internet is so slow, it’s almost impossible to upload anything.
Anyways, when I get back I’ll finish all the things I need to finish for the new job.
AND THEN BOOM!
I start making money.
But most importantly… I start working!
A JOB?!?!
WHAT?!?!?
THAT’S ACTUALLY IN MY FIELD OF STUDY?!?!?!
WWWHHHATTT!!!>!??!!>>!<!!???!?!?!?
Yes.
I’m excited.
NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE PAST.
As I mentioned, this photo and video took place from September through December of last year.
I was going to upload this back when I did the old school film camera, but I lost the files!
I organized my hard drives and they got buried somewhere.
BUT THEY ARE FOUND NOW AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS!
Back during my Fall 2017, I was taking a Fine Art class.
The next two assignments after the old film camera were using a Holga camera and a pinhole camera.
The Holga is a cheap film camera made for tourist in China.
It is a piece of junk.
I didn’t really care too much for the Holga, which is why I didn’t record that many videos of me with it.
Most of the photos are videos where about the pinhole.
I had a lot of fun with it.
We basically took a body cap for my camera and drilled a hole in it.
Simple!
Then we tape a piece of black… something over the hole.
And then in that, we poke a pinhole.
AND BOOM!
It’s like a shoebox camera without the photo paper.
I cover all this in the video…
The photo was a bit of an… oops.
I wanted to shoot a better photo with the Holga, but I forgot.
It is what it is.
I still like it.
I did include a little joke about the Holga camera.
The lens is separate from the viewfinder.
So, people tend to forget to take off the lens cap when taking photos!
HA!!
..... anyways.....
Editing was pretty straightforward.
INCREASE THAT SATURATION!!
COMPARE!!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.

That was comparing how I cropped it, now LOOK AT THE COLORS!!

AIN'T THAT JUST NEAT!!!
Let's try the Image Slider for a split comparison.
CLICK and DRAG the BLUE BAR around to get our own split image.
Or, you can use these presets.
Before FULL, After FULL, 50/50, Before a QUARTER, or After a QUARTER.
Before
After
YUMMY COLORS!
I made sure you can see every one.
ONTO THE VIDEO!
It’s a bit of a random one.
I found a lot of other videos mixed in with the assignment videos.
So, I just included them as well!
The video covers a little bit about the Holga, but mostly focuses on how I made the pinhole.
I was even able to record video with the pinhole attachment on the camera.
So, you can actually SEE what it’s like to be looking through a pinhole.
The video was seven hours unedited and I got it down to 40 minutes.
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.

Ok, that’s all.
I really did like that pinhole and I will definitely do another project with it.
Also, the VHS camera.
So, I have some things planned.
I don’t know what’s coming up next.
I need to get the job sorted out first.
I’m also working on a part two to that as well.
MANY THINGS PLANNED!
I’ll see you when I have something done.
