Picture 377

So, how are you?
I don't really care.
Let's talk about me!

I'm fine.
Really.
Just tired all the time.
I think the house is haunted.
My sister in law thinks her place is haunted.
Watch the BTS video below.
I show a picture she sent me in the middle of work on the main picture.
It's……weird.
I only hear noises and it can stay that way.
I don't want to see it.
I think I would die myself.
I have enough to worry about.
I don't need to worry about if a ghost is going to appear.
A noise just happened in the kitchen.
………
I shall investigate.
I hear running.
It running all over the kitchen.
Back and forth!
It's lost its mind!
I see it!
WHAT IS THAT!?
OH NO!
IT’S A JOLLY MOLLY!
SHE’S AFTER ME!
HELP!
SHE’S GOT ME!

:-)
I'm happy today!
I'm random when I'm happy!
See, I am better now.
I wasn't yesterday!
I didn't do a picture yesterday because…..
I didn't feel like it.
And it has nothing to do with 420.
Nothing!
I'm just in a time of change again.
I also didn't want to rush and make a picture like last week.
This one needed the extra time!
You'll see.
Onto the picture!
This one was interesting.
Before I made last week's picture, I had this one in mind.
I was going to do this one.
But the pieces weren't all there.
The sky had to be……perfect!
And it was raining….sort of…
I think.
Maybe.
Anyways, I pushed it off and made a new one instead.
Then after I got all that done, I worked on this one!
The clouds cleared up and it was a lovely sunset.
Which is what I wanted.
And in 30 minutes and had it all done.
It was perfect!
So, like I said, I started this last week.
But I didn't get around to actually working on it until last night.
I'm a busy person push things off till the last second.
I had many extras for this one.
Like pictures with different exposures.
Because I wanted you to see me and the sky.
So, I made one with me and one just focusing on the sky.
See!
I was going to Photoshop the sky from one and put it in the other.
But I didn't go with it.
There were too many trees in the picture that I would have to work around.
I also made one that sort of focused on me and the sky.
I was a bit too dark and the sky was a bit too light
And I would use Lightroom balance them out.
So, I went with that.
The easy route!
Well….. I thought it would be.
I spent 15 minutes playing around.
Playing with the brightness to make it look balanced.
Making it super dark or super light.
Do I need to see the sky?
Maybe sepia?
I like sepia.
It would help with the sky issue.
So, I made that one first.
It looked good!
But, to be safe.
I wanted more.
So, I continued.
Trying different saturation levels.
Black and white.
High contrast.
Saturated.
SUPER DUPER SATURATED!
I had four pictures to choose from now.
I went too far!
I should have stopped at sepia!
Now I can't pick!!
So, I asked the family.
My mom picture sepia right away.
No hesitation.
Ok.
But then I thought….
What would my Aunt think?
Once again….I should have stopped at my mom.
I uploaded them to a secret page on my blog just for my Aunt.
I use it when I have questions.
I put the pictures on there and she looks at them.
So, I did that.
She was in the same mindset as me.
She said that she like the sepia one, but it needed a little more….color.
Or something.
Which is why I made more than one picture.
I wasn't satisfied with just sepia.
But I was.
But I wasn't.
So, I tried blending things together.
Sepia and the blue sky won't work.
There was blue throughout the whole picture and it countered the sepia.
So, I thought…
Maybe green?
And it worked.
The green grass looked nice.
Ok!
Done!
I thought I was……………..
I added it to the page and asked what she thought.
While waiting, I played around some more.
I blended sepia and super saturated together in Photoshop.
It made some interesting results.
Then, I heard the ding of my iPad.
SHE DEMANDED MORE!
MOOOORRREEEE!
She noticed I had my green coat on and calmly asked…..
“Maybe you could use Photoshop to being the coat out more.”
…………………….
Yes! I could!
But that would require remaking the whole thing!
Again!
But, like a nice nephew I did it anyways.
While I was doing it, she kept say that it's what the picture needs!
She really wanted that coat to stand out more.
DEMANDING!
Anyways, I used Photoshop to saturate my coat more.
That way, Lightroom would see it as green and I’ll be able bring it out.
So, now we are an extra two hours into making this picture that I didn’t plan on!
I added it to the page and waited.
…………..
She replies, “You took ordinary and made it extraordinary!! Yay!”
Great!
Who knew a coat meant so much!
I could see what she talking about.
It does complete it.
Finally…..
It was done.
CLICK HERE to see allll the picture that come out of the two hours.
Or look at them below in a conveniently embedded slideshow….

So, now we can compare!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.

AMAZING!!
Just what I wanted!
Let's try the Image Slider.
Here's how it works...
There's a blue bar in the middle of the picture.
That's the slider.
The slider will disappear when you move your mouse off of the image.
I did that so you can really see the split.
But, it'll come back when you hover over it again.
You can CLICK on it and DRAG it around to get our on split image.
Or, you can use these presets.
Before FULL, After FULL, 50/50, Before a QUARTER, or After a QUARTER.
Before
After
Ok! That’s it!
Now it's time for the BTS VIDEO!
This video would have been 20 minutes.
I cut straight to making the picture.
Well…. I did get distracted for five minutes and the beginning.
However, those two extra hours of working on the picture bumped the video to 50 minutes!
It's 52 minutes 30 second….. To be exact.
All thanks to Aunt Kay!
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.

Ok! All done!
I wasn’t being mean by saying “all thanks to Aunt Kay”.
She needs some thanks!
Her little thoughts made the picture awesome!
Something for the contest pictures as well!
AND WE WON FOR THOSE!
So, leave a comment below and thank her.
Do it.
Now.
I spent good money on those comment sections!
Ok, they were free!
Ok.
I'm done.
COME BACK NEXT WEEK!!!
Thank you Aunt Kay for the insight!
We need to make some pictures again!
