Picture 322

So, I have some news.
Last week I was all sad that I lost the Photo Contest.
In that post I said I WAS happy and excited.
Now did you notice I said I WAS sad in this post..... :-)

It turns out that I actually won something!
I explain it best on a Facebook post last night.
I'll copy-paste it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, in case you missed it. I entered in photo contest. (Here my entries) I was all excited about it since it was my first PUBLIC one. Then...I stopped talking about it. Well...if you read my last blog post you would know that....I lost. I didn't get anything....nothing.... I was sad. HOWEVER! A day before the end of the display week, my Aunt Kay called me with some news. I won something!! I WON!! (Here's the proof) I won Photographer’s Choice. I didn't even know it was an award. They had the public voting for the People's Choice the whole week. Maybe that's the award I won. Or....actual pros voted for me. I don't know. All I know is that I won something and judges are crazy. The people know what they want. BOOM! EAT IT!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I added the links in there.
In the original post I just pasted the long URLs.
I just made it a bit more appealing.
But, you get the point.
I WON!
And they had 178 pictures entered in to the contest.
I don't know if they shuffled through them during the week.
Or they just didn't show them all.
I didn't check to make sure everyone was in one category.
ALL my pictures were displayed.
But I know some people didn't get displayed.
Or only a few of their pictures did.
That means they liked ALL of my pictures and displayed them.
I'm just going out on a guess there.
Anyways, I wasn't going to get my pictures.
I was so sad.
BUT NOW!
I shall pick up my Raindrops one with pride!
I'm officially an AWARD WINNING Photographer.
Sure, it's not a big award.
But to me....it is.
NOW! On to the picture!
This was during our walks that my Aunt and I did through some pretty nature trails.
The series also contains Pictures 310311312313314315317318,319320, and 321.
I went back to simple again.
This was one of the best parts of the walks.
It was so...peaceful.
But that rushing water was so EPIC and loud.
It was a weird but good mix.
I could have sat on that bench forever!
I almost did.
It was nice.
The photo shoot was that simple.
And the coloring was the same.
I didn't want to distract from the EPIC moment.
I just boost up the saturation and contrast.
That's it.
Oh, and clarity to get the water super sharp.
I think that's all. :-P
COMPARE!!!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.

AMAZING!!
Unfortunately, because I cropped the photo, I am unable to do the Image Slider.
Or a second comparison.
I forgot to save a cropped but un-colorized photo.
The Slider doesn't work very well when things are cropped.
Nothing lines up so you can't really tell what's going on.
I'll keep working on it to make it as good as it can be.
ON TO THE VIDEO!
The last BTS video in the series only had the walks from Day One and Two.
But on Day Three, I recorded a lot more than I should have. :-P
It was 68 minutes uncut.
I got that down to 27 minutes.
But then I wanted to add an update about the Photo Contest stuff at the end.
SO, I added that.
But that was recorded weeks ago.
So, I wanted another more recent update.
Overall the video time came out to 45 minutes.
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.
I'm just really happy again.
Now I know my work isn't getting missed.
People actually like it.
COME BACK NEXT WEEK FOR MORE HAPPINESS!!!!!
