Picture 271

So...IT'S STILL COLD!!

Man, it's horrible.

We had another cold day yesterday.

It wasn't as cold as last time.

This Winter is so mean.

Well, just January.
At least my mom is back home.
She was in the hospital with the flu.
She's doing better.
She just has some side effects.
Anyways, when it was cold outside I was out in it.
Why wouldn't I be? :-P
I took loads of videos and pictures.
They are all in the BTS video and I'll upload the pictures over time.
I kept picturing the desert.
When I zoomed in on snow dunes, I pictured them sand colored in my head.
It looked just like a desert.
I love it.
Ok, I can't think of what else to say...my mind just went blank.
Moving on to the picture.
I wanted something different.
Picture 267 and 269 look the same to me.
And I didn't want it to much like 268.
So, I did something that the others didn't have.
Night.
I had this idea since the first snow storm and we had this huge snow mountain.
I just wanted to be on top of it.
But then, I saw it at night and liked it better.
This wasn't the original idea.
There was to test pictures.
Here they are...

I wanted the one with the light visible and me facing it.
But while editing it, it looked weird.
I liked the other one with just me and the snow mountain.
However, there was an issue...my pants.
I was wearing dark pants and so the blended with the sky.
I just looked like an orange body.
So, I re-did it with a brighter pair of pants.
After that was done, I sat there and just messed with the picture in Lightroom.
I made sure I saved ones I liked along the way.
Then at the end, I got to what it looked like and I loved it.
It wasn't what I was expecting.
Ok, now it's time to compare.

Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original before editing picture and see the after editing one.

Now it's time for some extra comparisons.
This one compares the final one with a second black and white one.
I didn't like the graininess of the second one, so I didn't use it.

This last one compares the final picture with the color version.
You can see the trees and building that I Photoshopped out.
Maybe if I did that for the color one, I might have picked it.

AMAZING!
Just a few extra choices.
But I went with the last grainy one.
It looked cleaner and not like the others.
Now, it's time for the fun part.
This BTS video is a long and random one.
It's 23 minutes and 23 seconds full of the process of making the picture.
It also has a few extras.
Like the first few seconds and a blooper at the end with a video being shown twice.
This video was a hard one to save, too.
It just wouldn't render.
But, it's fine now.
