Nice and long.
It covers what has been going on lately + this week's picture + something new!
It's kind-of the first post of the New Year, too.
New Year's didn't count.
That was at midnight and it didn't feel like a new year.
A lot of thing has happened in a few days.
We got killed by a snow storm.
Ok, not really.
It got down to -15°F with a -39°F wind chill.
And before that it snowed for like three days.
Of course, I took pictures and videos.
I'm uploading the pictures and the videos will be later on as a BTS video.
And that video is just the short version.
Just the parts about the pictures.
Or else it'll be five billion hours long.
This snow storm was epic.
We haven't had a good one in a while.
This was the coldest I have seen.
I was out there in it.
They told us to stay inside.
They locked the city down with road bans and closed stores.
There's been three snow days.
It was very epic.
So, why would I stay inside and miss out!!
I was only outside for five minutes and I started to freeze.
Just my fingers with my gloves on.
But my exposed face was fine.
It was still horrible cold.
My dog almost froze too.
The first time he played in the snow but then stayed close to me and was shaking.
But he ran back inside after finally doing his business.
The second time was worse.
It was at its coldest and he wanted to play in the snow again.
Not so smart.
He started limping and then he couldn't walk.
I had to carry him back inside.
So, we tried again after we warmed up again.
I made him stay away from the snow and he still ran around a played for a longer time period.
So, it was the snow.
It was scary.
But it's all good now.
We are starting the warm up.
It's going to be 30+ starting Friday.
So, all this snow is going to be slushy and cause floods now.
It was a fun experience.
Scary at points, but fun.

Now, for the amazing part.
If you have been around a while, in my post I do this before and after thing like this...
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original before editing picture and see the after editing one.
AMAZING!!
That's pretty cool and all, but I was limited.
When I first did it, it was in its baby steps.
Version 1.0.
I took the code from the Main Site's banner and had to tweak it a bit to get it to work.
Then, I refined its code and allowed it to have different sized pictures and not distort any of them.
Version 2.0.
Later on, I mentioned that I can't have two at the same time.
Want to see why?
Hover over this picture.
Yep, see what happened there.
It changed the first picture.
Not this one.
I tried looking at ever line of code to see WHAT'S THE DEAL!
But, I had no luck.
I'm not perfect at codes.
And so, the problem annoyed me.
So many times I wanted to do two or more of them.
Like for the New Year's Day picture.
I wanted to do:
One without me, then I'm there
One comparing the color adjustments. (Which is the one I did.)
And one complete before and after. (Without me all the way to the completed picture.)
But I couldn't...
............................................................
UNTIL NOW!!!
BOOM!!
HAHA!!
I WIN!!
We have reached Version 3.0.
This was a complete overhaul!!
There are two different types of code.
One is JAVASCRIPT and the other is HTML.
One is overly complex, and one is simple.
I use the powers of both.
But I go for HTML because it's easy to understand and it loads quicker.
Here's why I'm explaining this.
I re-did the code for the image changer into HTML.
Before it was Java.
Touchy, unstable, but powerful Java.
You can see and compare the two codes HERE.
And with this new re-vamp, it allows me to have more than one.
FINALLY!
It also keeps all the secret features from the old version and adding more!
But those are secrets inside that code.
The only thing you see is that when you hover your mouse over the picture, it changes to another.
And now....it's time for the maiden voyage.
The examples I'm using are the ones that I wanted to do for the New Year's Day picture.
1!- I added me in the picture.

Wow....just wow.
Wasn't that epic!!
I'm so happy right now!
I love it when I find simple solutions that fix issues and also adds even more features.
Now, that was a long transition into this week's before and after.
Hover over the original picture below to see the before and after.
EPIC!!
That was a big change.
It wasn't going to look like that.
I was going to be high contrast and black and white.
Then it just shifted into what it became.
It does do a little call back to Picture 258.
Ok, that's over.
Like I said at the beginning of the post, this was a big post.
Snow storms, new picture changer, and much more.
This is the start of a new year.
I can't help but think of last year.
There's one thing that stands out.
My Boots.
So, I made a video to continue the short video series.
It was made during the snow storm, which is why it fits in.
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.
Now, on to the last thing.
This is my 100th blog post.
:-)
Like I said, it a big post.
Looking back, I see my life in my posts.
I see how I've changed.
Through my words and my pictures
I did want this to be a little more bloggy.
Like not just posts about my pictures.
I started off like that a bit.
Look at my first few posts.
I noticed that I didn't type in this one line at a time, centered format all this time.
I don't know when that started.
I would go back and look, but I'm lazy.
This whole thing has been fun.
But, I'll stay this again; I don't know how long it will last.
I'm sure I can keep blogging about something, but I like to talk about my pictures.
My EPIC every Wednesday ones.
I'm not sure I can do it every week anymore.
We'll see.
It's a new year.
If my plans work I wouldn't have any time to do it anyways.
Alright, I'm done.
I can't think of what else to say.
Come back next week for more Winter pictures.
