Picture 267 | New Year's Day...

SO!! IT'S A NEW YEAR!!!
And of course it falls on a Wednesday.
So, instead of continuing the Winter pictures, I'll do a New Year's one.
I don't have any Winter pictures anyways. :-D
It stopped snowing!
But now that Christmas is past, it's going to snow everyday.
Because we can't have a white Christmas anymore.
Anyways, this picture was simple but complex.

It took a bit of Photoshopping and lighting adjusting.
Of course, I made a making of video!
But that's at the end of this post with the New Year's video.
It's all in one.
I have it all edited right now as I'm typing this.
It's 10 P.M, so in two hours I'll record the actual New Year's video and then just put it in at the end.
Simple.
Now, I'll just say how I made the picture.
FIRST!! I found this picture last year of some epic fireworks.

I wanted more of a time lapse picture of some, but people didn't have any good ones.
I guess I'll have to make on myself, but I don't have a good enough camera.
Now, I had to get me in there.
So, SECOND!! I TOOK A PICTURE OF ME "WALKING'!!

Then, I just had to get me in there.
Just a simple process of copy and paste.
I did have to play with the lighting of myself a bit.
Just to kind-of match the surroundings.
And lastly, I doodled in a shadow.
I have gotten very good and free drawing shadows.
Now that I look and it, I then I made it a little off though.
To far to the left maybe, I'm not sure.
That was all with Photoshop.
I saved it all and then loaded it into Lightroom and worked on the lighting of the whole picture.
Just a little touch up.
Some brightness and what-not.
Now it's time to compare the two.

AMAZING!!
I think it came out nice.
You can't tell I wasn't there at a glace.
But if you look closer like in the full quality version, you can tell.
I'm clear and everything else is blurry.
Oh well.
NOW FOR THE FUN PART!!
Time for the video!
At the beginning is the making of this picture.
I used a new direct capture thing to record the computer screen instead of setting up my camera.

But then I had to record a weird video over so it's just not silent.

I liked it, it worked.
It did require some extra steps, but it's ok.
then after that it goes into the think leading up to the New Year and then...the New Year.
The video is 11 minutes long.

I still don't know why my BTS camera videos are rendering in square.

It's widescreen while editing them. >:-(

Moving on, this year is over.

So, it's time to think about the future.

If you haven't noticed, in past blog posts I have hinted at stopping my weekly epic pictures.

I don't know if that's true or not.

I'm running on empty now a days.

YET!! I have kept going.

I'm trying to get to 300 pictures.

That might be the end.

I don't want it to be, but it seems to get more true everyday.

I think I'll stop doing one picture a week.

I'll try, but if I don't have a picture, I just won't do one.

Sorry. I'm just to limited to do the things that I can't do.

That's what this new year is about.

I'm going to really try to DO SOMETHING!

Get a job and move out so I can have more freedom.

A whole open place for my to customize and take pictures without worrying about family getting in the way.

That's why most of my pictures are outside. ;-)

I'll be able to buy things!! Like....MORE CAMERAS!!!

Well, let's hope this happens though.

I hope it does.

Everyone wants me to go to school and what not.

I still don't know about that...

I think I have talked enough.

I can't think of what else to say.
