Picture 318

So! I have had a wonderful week!
We are in a snow storm right now.
I have been getting EPIC pictures.
Work is going along great.
It's not busy all the time anymore.
The snow isn't helping though.
And my Aunt and I are in the final stages of preparing for the photo contest.

The deadline is in a week.
We have all the photos printed.
They just need to be matted on boards.
That's what we WERE going to do today.
But...........snow storm.
Here's all the photos I'm entering in a fancy slideshow...

See, I'm in it to win it.
It's my first PUBLIC contest.
We had a few in school, but I never won.
Everyone in class where friends and so they picked each other.
I was the lonely outcast.
However, the teacher noticed I was awesome.
That's all that counts.
I've been documenting this whole contest process.
When it's over, I'll work on the videos.
ANYWAYS! ON TO THE PICTURE!
This was during our walks that my Aunt and I did through some pretty nature trails.
The series also contains Pictures 310311312313314315, and 317.
There's still a lot more to come of that as well.
This is actually the last photo we shot on Day 2 of our walks.
That means I have to get around to editing Day Three's BTS videos.
And the pictures too. ;-)
There are a few from that day that I added to the photo contest.
Like I said, this was the last picture from Day 2.
And it's the coolest.
My Aunt liked it when we shot it, but I was a bit....meh about it.
The berries weren't in focus and it wasn't so colorful.
However, after seeing the before and after for Picture 315, I knew I could make it better.
I didn't want to go to crazy though.
I reminded myself of last week.
When I was judging my picture from other people minds.
"Would they like this?"
It doesn't matter!!!
But this one was different.
We knew that we were entering this into the contest.
If I did too much to it, we think it would fall under the "Special Effect" sub-category.
We wanted a normal picture.
So, I played around for an hour.
Trying to find that balance of color and contrast.
Without doing too much.
I eventually found the spot.
OH!! LET'S COMPARE!
Hover your mouse (the computer one :-P) over the original picture to see the after editing one.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.

AMAZING!!
Not too bad.
I don't think they'll notice.
NOW! On to the video.
This is the last time you'll see this video.
It covers Day One and Two.
Next week, I'll upload Day Three.
That day I got A LOT over video, so I had to cut it.
Anyways, this video is 18 minutes, 30 seconds long of my Aunt and me just walking around...
You can CLICK HERE to see the video or watch it below.

THAT'S ALL I GOT!!
COME BACK NEXT WEEK!!!
